| Datsun workshop manual (Datsun 1200, 120Y or Sunny is
OK) for A12 engine |
| Engine Crane - really handy for picking up engines and
getting to tricky bolts |
| Engine Stand - you can spin the engine around and it
makes pulling it all apart pretty easy |
| Mechanics gloves (only if you don't like getting your
hands cut up and dirty) |
| Spanners/socket (I recommend getting some good ones) I
use Kincrome, 3/8" drive 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 17mm, 22mm(sump plug),
27mm |
| Some degreaser and some penetrating rust inhibitor spray
(see the pics...Big W special $2 a can) |
| Screwdrivers: No. 2 Phillips head |
| Gasket scraper (nice for......do I need to say it), well
nice for it's intended purpose then. |
| Piston ring compressor |
| Micro meter torque wrench: You set the torque setting,
then tighten. When you hear a click you have reached the desired torque
setting. |
| Hammer (Ball pein) I use a 16oz Kincrome one - has a
nice plastic cover over the end of the handle |
| Set of pry bars....handy for all sorts of things -
especially prying! |
