So let's chop up some hoses till I get
something that fits, by the 3rd attempt I'm happy
Top and bottom, chopped and fit, a few hose clamps later
and it's all good
On to some wiring: Water temp, dizzy & -ve battery lead
need sorting. (the 3rd photo shows me sneaky way of getting the starter
motor bolt of) - which is where the -ve battery lead goes.
Next up alternator...hmm trouble alternator wires are
now on the wrong side of the car! (A12 has alt on pass side, A14 has alt
on driver side) hmmmm
Voltage reg on wrong side too! So the coil has to move
over for the voltage reg
So I started unravelling the loom, bit hard when
connected to the indicator.
All unclipped and out of the engine bay - bottom of
photo is alternator loom, top is the passenger side headlight, indicator
loom - that's going to have to go back over there. The alternator wiring
has to stay on the drivers side though. Problem is they share the same
earth wire - had to cut that and separate the earths.
Here's the new loom setup for the passenger headlight
