1st challange - radiator doesn't fit
anymore...seems the new motor sits a little further forward than the old
one....hmm
Missing clutch cable bracket on firewall - better get
another one of those
Tailshaft reinstalled - at least that went OK
To get the clutch cable hooked up to the
gearbox was a major effort - had to unbolt the gearbox crossmember and
drop the gearbox about 3 inches to be able to get the cable end around
the hook on the gearbox....lesson learnt next time hook up clutch cable
whilst installing engine into car. Was such a bastard of a job I just
didn't feel like taking pictures at the time
Pic of the trolley jack supporting the gearbox whilst I
installed the clutch cable.
Hooked up the throttle cable too
Right let's sort this whole fan/rad not fitting problem.
Get rid of this spacer....hmm now that bolts are too long
Get new bolts, yeah seems to fit a bit better now. -
That radiator looks pretty crap now might get that fixed up.....
But first got a clutch cable bracket - so I'll bolt that
on whilst the radiator is off getting recored.
Radiators back! $58 later, new cap, acid dipped, soaked,
cleaned and painted....bargain.
Trial fit in car....hmm how come the hoses don't fit..?
