Engine
Changing of Engine Oil.
Start by pulling out the sump plug. and allow oil to drain usually about 4 litres so get a big bucket/tray.
When drained take the oil filter off by using a special oil filter tool. May need to reef it so getting on the car is a good option.
Here it is.
Now go and buy one the model no. For a Ryco is Z30 and Valvoline V02.
Now put some engine oil on the seal  so it seals better to the engine block.
Now do the sump plug back up if its done emptying do them up with a torque wrench to 20lb/ft.
Now to do the engine oil the oil is a 15W40 Castrol GTX3 is a good oil to use.
Let it sit for a while then check if its full.
Now do the Air Filter (if you have one).
This is it inside.
This is the old air filter
And this is the new Valvoline VA2
Now just put it in the air filter in and do the wing nut up again.

Now Ignition.
Heres all the parts you need.
Start by removing spark plug leads. And the coil lead
Take the dizzy cap off  and take off the vacuum advance line.
Set engine to top dead centre. rotor should be pointing like this to be top dead centre.
Undo dizzy bolt and the clip that comes with it.
Take the condenser to coil wire off and negative battery terminal.
Remove dizzy.
 Clean the dizzy , Before.
Use  a carbi cleaner and engine degreaser.
After Shot
Now start to take the insides out of the dizzy (except for points).
And be left with this.
Now remove contact points.
Now out new contact points in and use feeler gauge to check point gap should be 0.63mm
Now condenser and put wire and the side of the dizzy.
New rotor push it on firmly.
Take out old coil and fit new one.
Put dizzy back in and wire it up.
Now spark plugs.
Start by taking them out and put news ones in check the new ones with a feeler gauge to see if their 0.88mm gap. use a torque wrench to tighten them to 28lb/ft.
Now put new ignition leads on in firing order which is 1,5,3,6,2,4.
Weren't sure about if we had the right top dead centre so we took the rocket cover of and checked the valves. E=exhaust and I=Ignition Top dead centre happens after the intake valve for cylinder no. 1 has opened and closed and the crank pulley lines up with engine timing mark.
Now we know TDC we can set ignition timing.
Now I'm putting new battery terminals on.
Cleaning rocket cover using a degreaser. and removing the sticky old gasket with a gasket remover and then just fit it to the car.
