So leaving wiring mysteries behind for now I wanted to
see how easy this CA will go in the engine bay...a few hiccups with the
practice motor
First hiccup the engine crane doesn't roll under the car
- it hits the lower control arms!
So I had to jack up the front a little
It just clears the rad support with the crane on full
lift
Couldn't get it to drop in straight with the lifting
points I had chosen...I aborted about here to rethink a little.
Might as well start getting the turbo motor ready for
fitment in the engine bay. So alternator on...had to give it a few love
taps with the rubber mallet to get it on.
Undo the water pump bolts to attach the alternator
bracket.
So here's the wires I'm left with...have to find
something to link this up to in the engine bay.

These are all still a mystery too...some of them look
like indicator wires - have no idea about that white plug in pic 2...
Plugged in the EFI harness to the CA18DET
Need to wire the knock sensor into the EFI harness too
I also removed the stock engine mounts from the CA -
don't need them with the custom cross member.
